I don't let others tell me what I think. In our conformist world, that has turned me into an outcast. After years of pretending to be just another mindless drone, I feel obligated to start showing the real me. This is a personal blog where I can vent about various frustration and share a wide variety of thoughts.

Critical Race Theory
There has been a lot of debate about Critical Race Theory. To defend their use of the term, conservatives have pointed to schools using the term. For example, there are books dedicated to critical race theory in schools, and school districts have mentioned the term on their websites.

Fueling and exploiting racism
I have been openly critical of the lack of diversity that can be found in the Democratic party. I can only think of two areas in which members of the party diverge. As I have previously mentioned, one of these is in how Democrats are trying to implement their totalitarian views. So-called moderates want to make changes subtle enough that people don't realize what's happening. So-called progressives try to push the agenda as hard as they can to make sure the changes happen.

NHL and black lives
When protests broke out nationwide over issues of race, many slammed the NHL for not pushing hard enough. The league pushed a new slogan, "We skate for black lives." They were reluctant to use the same words that I have already openly criticized.

Renaming
Slave owners did some good things. Slavery was certainly not among the good. As I have already stated, wrongdoing should not be enough to erase the good. This includes atrocious acts such as owning slaves.

Rejecting history
Slavery is wrong. There were a lot of prominent individuals in America who owned slaves. With ongoing issues relating to race, it has become popular to try to remove these individuals from history.

Dishonest History
When I was in school, it was clear that history had been heavily edited. The Civil War was one topic where I could tell my teachers were lying to me. Officially, the Confederacy went to war for reasons such as slavery and economic concerns. Unofficially, it was all about slavery. There was no discussion whatsoever about why the North went to war.

Reform
After the death of George Floyd, people started calling for police departments across the country to be defunded. I'm not a big fan of these kinds of knee-jerk reactions. I'm open to change, but change should be based on ideas for what we can do better rather than out of anger. Anger can cloud ideas, sometimes resulting in making things worse.

The Thought Police
The racial tensions that have spiked in recent years have brought out the thought police in full force. You can't just be against racism. You have to embrace a very specific viewpoint for absolutely everything related to race. If you dissent at all, you can be cancelled. If you simply don't say what liberals want you to say, you can be cancelled.

Dividing the races
The long-term goal for race relations should be equality. After decades of making progress towards this goal, we decided to completely reverse everything. Now, we insist that the rules that you must live by are dependent on how you look.

Explicit racism
A lot of people have tried to oversimplify racism as white people against any other race. To combat racism, we are supposed to pit every race against people who are white. To combat racism, we must embrace racism.

Protest hypocrisy
When states locked things down for the Covid-19 pandemic, there was some resistance. Many Americans felt that these lockdowns were an overreach of authority. Protests emerged. A strong condemnation came against these protests. The Constitution isn't absolute. Governors had the right to suspend the Constitution simply by declaring a state of emergency. Protests were illegal.

Assumptions of racism
There are a lot of complications when discussing race. Among these complications is that it's difficult to establish if race is a factor in various incidents. Personally, I think liberals are a little too quick to assume.

A movement and an organization
Black lives absolutely do matter. Did you catch what I just did? I added two simple words to break up a popular phrase. Why did I do this? It's because the phrase is frequently confused with a controversial organization that I refuse to support.

Media fueling racial tensions
It's no secret. I am not a fan of the American media. All mainstream media outlets care more about pushing an agenda than telling us what we need to know. Members of the media know that they can exploit racial tensions, so they don't hesitate to fuel racial tensions.

Capitalizing skin colors
How do you capitalize skin colors? The media recently made a change. They will capitalize black when referring to race. Similarly, most will also keep white lowercase when referring to a race.

An unpopular opinion - George Floyd
When George Floyd was killed in Minnesota, there was a lot of outrage. From what I saw, I could understand this outrage. I was a little more reluctant to embrace the narrative than most. We have a history of getting facts wrong relating to race, and I wasn't about to watch any video to see someone die.
