Yes, our schools really are that absurd

Periodically, I need to just vent. I have decided to put together several posts for that very reason. I'm not just pushing myself to open up, but I'm actually willing to go beyond what I really think on a number of issues. This is one of these posts. Expect this to turn out as an incomprehensible irrational rant.

Democrats and the constitution

The U.S. Constitution was written over 200 years ago by white men who owned slaves. We shouldn't take it too seriously unless we can attack the other party for violating our interpretation. When literal interpretation works to our benefit, we should embrace a literal interpretation. Otherwise, we should start with our political beliefs and find a creative way to interpret the constitution to get a match. We will refer to inaccurate partisan interpretations as a living constitution.

Obviously, I don't agree with this crap. The Democrats clearly do. Typical of the Democrats, they can't even seem to get their own views straight.

Arizona Coyotes

The story behind the Arizona Coyotes has been bizarre. Highlights of this NHL franchise's history include the league taking ownership at one point and the team playing in a temporary arena that seats less than 5,000 without plans for a permanent home.

Should mask mandates apply to the vaccinated?

If vaccines are so effective, then why are vaccinated individuals required to wear masks? Most of my criticisms of our handling the pandemic are more likely to tick off Democrats. In this case, I'm going to go in the opposite direction and criticize something that I heard primarily from Republicans. If you are going to mandate masks, you should not make an exception for people who are vaccinated. Although I believe the effectiveness of vaccines was overstated, I do not believe that a lack of an exemption proves a lack of confidence in the vaccines.

The real issue with gay marriage

For years, gay couples fought for the government to recognize their relationships the same way the recognize straight relationships. Although there are still differences between how different sexualities are treated, the core issue has seemingly been resolved. Our government now recognizes gay marriage.
