September 2012 Weather Summary

Before I talk about this month, let me go back a little. July was milder than average, but we still spent a lot of time with temperatures that were far too hot. I didn't struggle as much with the extremes as much as I struggled with the lack of legitimately nice weather. Then August came. Every single day that month was unbearable. Once again, it wasn't exactly record-setting, but the lack of nice weather wore me down.

How was September? It wasn't as hot as August, but it was the same kind of situation. A lot of nasty weather without a real break. We did get a few days with mild temperatures, but even those days usually saw some sunlight bombarding us at some point. This summer has best been viewed as unrelenting crap.

I can't recall a year when the weather has given me more problems. The weather has been wearing me down. Our best days have been insufficient to make it feel like our slump has ended. We have been abnormally dry (our driest August - September), and we are still without any rain in the forecast. This has not only been one of our worst summers, but also a summer that would not end.

This kind of weather not only affects me physically, but mentally as well. If anything that I have written or will write in the near future (keep in mind that I frequently post days or even weeks after writing) is overly harsh or obnoxious, I'm sorry.
