August 2012 Weather Summary

I have heard that the Puget Sound region is supposed to average two 90º days a year. We reached that mark four times this August. Not exactly the worst heat that we have ever encountered, but it was up there. It was also our driest August ever with no measurable rain recorded. I also don't think that we had a single day that was comfortable since our coolest day was 70º. While I was guessing that I would have to add a chart for the ten worst months of all time, I was somewhat surprised by just how poorly this month ranked in the Washingtonian Weather Index.
