Alpine Triple Slide

The Alpine Triple Slide can be found in the southeast corner of the school aged area of the Playground by the Sound. The slide points southeast and is among the more visible components from the Grandview trail. There are three separate chutes with dividers, allowing up to three children to use the slide simultaneously. Each chute is different, allowing children to change things up by using different chutes.

The chute on the left from the slider’s perspective (right side for a parent at the bottom watching their child) is somewhat smooth with two big bumps. The middle chute appears to be the smoothest of the three with no bumps or anything similar. The final chute has one bump (less significant than the bumps on the first chute) and two sets of ridges.

Growing up, I didn’t use plastic slides. What I had access to were metal. I really don’t know how well these things work. If there’s too much friction, it could keep kids from making it all the way down without helping themselves. If there’s not enough friction, the first chute could be a little rough. Since I’m not watching other people’s children without their permission, I really don’t know how well this slide works.
