Most of my posts relating to freedom of speech have focused on the Democrats. This is primarily because they seem to be less consistent in their views. That doesn't mean that Republicans don't alter their viewpoint based on personal approval of what exactly is being said.
Earlier in Trump's presidency, a pro-Trump advertisement was produced. Within the ad, the media was attacked. CNN took offense and refused to air the ad.
I already addressed a similar issue when Democrats tried to use an argument about freedom of speech to force Congress to display a controversial painting in the capitol. Freedom of speech should never be used as a mandate for anyone to say something he doesn't believe. There should be no obligation for a news network to run an ad that sends a message that they oppose.
