I hate the political party that actively lies and seeks ways to manipulate election results in their favor. This is the party that tries to overturn election results if they don't like the outcome and incites violence if they don't get their way. I'm sick of that party picking the worst candidate they can find and trying to fuel hatred and fear of the opposing candidate to win elections. I can't stand the cockiness of that party's leaders and the cult-like behavior of their followers. As a non-conformist, I also struggle with the idea that we are expected to think whatever that party tells us to think.
If you think I'm talking about the Republicans, you are right. If you think I'm talking about the Democrats, you are right. There is way too much overlap between these two parties. In terms of personality and political tactics, Obama, Clinton, Trump, and Harris are essentially the same person. My disgust of these quadruplets is a big part of why I am open to voting for third-party candidates. There was no way I could vote for someone like Kanold Trarris or Domala Hump.
Is third-party really a good description? Wouldn't there have to be a second party before there could be a third? Right now, the Democrats and Republicans are essentially the same party. Where is the second party?
I have decided to alter my terminology thanks to the uniparty. I'm sure I will periodically slip, but I have decided to stop referring to candidates outside of the uniparty as third-party candidates. From now on (or even before I actually post this), I will try to refer to these people as second-party candidates.
