I have long insisted the intelligence ultimately comes down to the ability to think for yourself. The Democrats pride themselves on unity. What do they mean by unity? Partisan conformity. They believe in telling their supporters what to think, and their supporters mindlessly accept the platform.
In recent years, Democrats have turned against their own if they have any thoughts that don't match the party's. I can even provide a quick (off the top of my head) list of liberals who have been villainized for not thinking what the party dictates they must think. Keep in mind that not all liberals who were villainized by the Democrats remained liberals. Some of the people on this list have since changed their views after being villainized.
- Russell Brand
- John Fetterman
- Tulsi Gabbard
- Dwayne Johnson
- Robert Kennedy Jr.
- Joe Manchin
- Elon Musk
- Joe Rogan
- J.K. Rowling
- Sarah Silverman
- Kyrsten Sinema
I want to make it clear that being on this list does not mean someone should be thought of as an intellectual. In some cases, this is just one or two thoughts, and deviating from the Democrats doesn't prove the thought was their own. They could get their thoughts from another source. I should also point out that there are people on this list who still support the Democrats.
Democrats have made it clear that they are anti-thought. If you have any thoughts that they didn't provide you with, they will villainize you. They are pushing the narrative that intellectuals must think whatever they tell you to think. It's possible to think and vote Democrat, but they make that very difficult. To me, intellectuals are individuals who can form their own thoughts. That does not mean showing mindless support for the anti-thought party.
