Words redefined by Democrats

I have long insisted that political correctness has become the fastest moving industry in America. Democrats have actively manipulated language as a social engineering tool. They hope that by controlling which specific words we use, they can move public opinion closer to their party.

Not all manipulation of words has been classified as political correctness. The Democrats have actively redefined numerous words purely for the sake of their own power. In most cases, we have let them get away with this tactic. I'm sick of some of these new definitions, and I want to share some of the new definitions that have been driving me nuts.

Racism

Anything the Democrats are against is now considered white supremacist racism. For example, it's racist to want black children to have a path out of government-controlled schools that are harming them. Meanwhile, hating white people is no longer considered racist. The Democrats have redefined racism to defend racism.

Authoritarianism

Authoritarianism now refers to maintaining conservative values rather than control of figures in a position of authority. Many Americans are now convinced that it's authoritarian to oppose government mandates.

Fascism

Fascism used to be a form of government that valued such things as big government, collectivism, and a centralized economy. Now, it's used exclusively to refer to right-wing extremism based on the flawed left/right political spectrum and the leftward direction of what is considered to be far right. In short, anything to the right of Karl Marx is now considered to be fascist.

Education

Education has diverged drastically in meaning. For some, education is about mental development. For others, it's about credential acquisition. As I have repeatedly stated, I reject use of the term to refer to a blatantly anti-educational schooling system, which is clearly the preference of Democrats. To make matters worse, they frequently use the nonsensical binary categorization of the educated and the uneducated. Regardless of which definition you use, there are different levels of education rather than this outright defiance of common sense.

Progressive

Instead of progressing society, modern progressives dedicate their lives to rolling back rights and freedoms that previous generations fought to obtain. Progressives would be better described as regressive, but they got to choose a better term.

Hate

In short, hate is reserved exclusively for groups of the Democrats' choosing. Hating people for having views that do not align perfectly with Democrats is considered perfectly acceptable. Any perceived wrongdoing to groups of the Democrats’ choice regardless of reason is recognized as hate.

Diversity

I once saw something online about a diverse school that was about 98% black. Diversity is clearly no longer about being diverse. It's about being disproportionately minority, especially in terms of race. Such things as mental diversity are generally not considered when discussing diversity. To put it another way, diversity is about people who look different from the majority but not people who are different.

Tolerance

Tolerance today is viewed as providing preferential treatment to historically marginalized groups and showing complete intolerance to anyone whose views don't completely match those of the Democratic party.

Intellectual

If you graduate college, Democrats will generally act as though you are an intellectual regardless of mental ability. This is especially evident when they refer to criticism of colleges as anti-intellectual.

Individualism

Democrats think that individualism is synonymous with selfishness. In a truly individualist society, individuals would have the right to find their own ways to contribute to society. Even though selfishness can and does exist within context of an individualist society, it should not be definitional.

Honest

Whatever Democrats want you to believe regardless of legitimacy is considered to be honest. They use honesty as a reason to vote for them even as they actively promote misinformation. Even worse is honesty in schools. If you dare to stand up to a dishonest liberal portrayal of history, they will insist that you are afraid of honest history.

Science

Judging from the COVID-19 pandemic, listening to the science means doing what you're told. Science can be used as reasoning behind decision and policy making, but commands are not truly science. Similarly, there should be a distinction between science and media portrayals of science.

Peaceful

If the Democrats support a cause, protests are peaceful regardless of how much violence is involved. It's remarkable how many "peaceful" riots we have seen in recent years.

Compromise

Barack Obama gave us plenty of my-way-or-the-highway speeches during his presidency. If the Republicans didn't completely capitulate, the Democrats would call them out for failure to compromise. Laws in recent years have been far more influenced by Democrats than Republicans, but it's always the Republicans who are criticized for an unwillingness to compromise.

Minority

Minorities only count if it's a status they can exploit. Democrats have openly pushed for majority rule, which effectively means that they care about winning the majority more than they care about the implications on minority viewpoints. Perhaps an even bigger concern appeared during the COVID-19 pandemic. Democrats pushed policies that were detrimental to mental health because they thought more lives would be saved than ended by these policies. Simply put, Democrats embraced the idea that minorities are expendable.

Socialism

Socialism has typically meant that businesses are owned and operated by the government. Democrats have been defending socialism by praising countries that embrace socialist policies. There's a slight problem. Many of these countries they praise are actually less socialist than the United States. Although Scandinavian countries have certain big-government policies typically associated with socialism, there are measures out there that show they have more of a free market than the U.S.

Extremism

Extremism is a subjective concept. In recent years, extremism has moved drastically. Anyone who is not 100% in agreement with the Democrats controlling every aspect of our lives is now considered to be an extremist.

Right

A right should be something that we should not allow the government to take away from citizens. Instead, the term is now being used to refer to things that the government forces on citizens. For example, education should be treated as a right, but Democrats insist that children have a right to be forced through anti-educational schools.

Defund

In recent years, Democrats have called for defunding the police. Some have defended this demand by comparing this with how we have defunded our schools. Meanwhile, our schools keep setting records for per-student funding. If this is what we mean by defunding the police, this is certainly something I don’t want. How can we afford it?

Constitutional

The Constitution and personal opinions are two very different subjects. Democrats frequently refer to subjects not covered by the Constitution as constitutional rights. I have seen Democrats refer to abortions and joining a union as constitutional rights. Neither one is mentioned anywhere in the Constitution.
