A lot of people boast about how rapidly things are changing. Personally, I don't buy it. Sure, key technological stats have maintained growth, but where are the new ideas? Personally, I have become frustrated with our lack of any meaningful progress. This is why I have been so critical of the stagnation of society.
Despite my frustrations, there appears to be one thing that is changing quite rapidly, political correctness. This is far from ideal. We have two political parties, one pushing much harder, trying to tell us what words we have to use. If you want to be accepted in this country, you pretty much have to keep up with the rapidly changing terminology of the Democrats.
One example of the changes in political correctness can be found with the LGBT community. I mean the LGBTQIA+ community. The letters keep changing, and I admittedly don't know what they all mean.
Political correctness is not just about words. Take a look at racial issues right now. Democrats have rapidly developed a number of books, organizations, and so much more to help dictate the specifics of what we have to think about race and the one correct answer to fix everything. Just ignore the fact that things have gotten much worse the more we utilize their solution.
Instead of progressing in areas that will move society forward, the most rapidly evolving segment in our country is about control. It's about inhibiting thought by demanding adherence to the government's official thoughts. In some ways, this could be contributing to our stagnation. If we are obligated to turn to others to dictate our thoughts, how are we supposed to develop new thoughts? Let's learn from our mistakes and move away from the anti-thought concept of political correctness. Instead, let's embrace the long-overdue concept that people are allowed to provide mental contributions to society.
