Liberal hypocrisy

After Trump was elected as our next president, liberals have been actively protesting. I honestly don't see what these protests are supposed to accomplish. They are not going to overturn the election results. They are just mad and hateful of those who did not think the way that they did about the candidates.

The biggest result we have seen from these protests is proof of hypocrisy. What these protesters are doing directly contradicts what these liberals have been  saying repeatedly over the years. Among them are their accusation the Republicans promote hate and intolerance.

It is ironic seeing these signs saying "Love Trumps Hate" being used to fuel hatred. Protesters are not just against Trump. They are against anyone who supported Trump. While Trump does have numerous questionable traits, nobody has the right to tell anyone that they have to prefer Clinton over Trump. This is absolute intolerance of those whose beliefs differ from those of the protesters.

Another issue here was all of the controversy surrounding Trump when he indicated that he might not accept the results of the election. After all of that, it was the liberals who refuse to accept the results.

I also wanted to bring up the eight-year belief that we should respect the office. Prior to Obama's presidency, I had never heard this argument. Over the last eight years, liberals have aggressively made the argument to shield Obama from well deserved criticism. Bush was treated far worse without that same protection.

Among criticism that liberals have of conservatives is that they felt Republicans refused to accept that Obama was the president. Look at the signs that liberals are using. "Not my president" has become a popular one.

Personally, I believe that someone who has the power to influence the lives of Americans in general should be subjected to scrutiny. It sounds like that scrutiny will resume, but it's amazing how quickly liberals change their beliefs and opinions based off of which party holds the executive branch of the government.
