Ted Cruz and the media

While Donald Trump has seen more corruption from the media than any other candidate, there is another candidate that has been targeted. With uncertainties regarding the Republican nomination prior to suspending his campaign, the media became more aggressive in their attacks of Ted Cruz.

The number of negative articles aimed at Ted Cruz was on the rise. Like Trump, a lot of hit pieces spun his words, removed context, and stated opinions as fact. It is clear that this is another campaign that required reading between the lines to find any worthwhile information. Whether you're talking about being forced into a legal fight to ban use of adult products in the home or a female perceived to have a resemblance to Cruz agreeing to do a porn video, the media clearly engaged in a second smear campaign.

One of the remarkable things about the Cruz attacks is that Trump's supporters embraced those kinds of stories. They are critical of the media when they go after Trump, but trusted the media when they went after Cruz. Meanwhile, the media is protecting Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. Personally, I don't trust the media with their stories on any of the candidates. It's too bad that there do not appear to be any media sources that are more interested in informing than manipulating the public.
