December 2015 Weather Summary

In my yearly blog update, I promised one final update to the Washingtonian Weather Index, so here it is. My personal perception of this month's weather has predictably been skewed. I normally like rain, but I was moving in the middle of it. This includes things that I don't want to get wet, including my favorite canvas (my precious owls have been ruined).

This was our second wettest December on record. Temperatures were mild for the most part, but we hit a cold stretch near the end of the month. If I can look past the problems caused by the move, I should be able to embrace what turned out to be our 6th best December. Additionally, my prediction from last month proved correct. We climbed out of dead last for worst years ever. This is now only our fourth worst.

There are three files. Dates is where I enter data to create scores for each date. Monthly was used to generate scores for months based off of the data in the Dates spreadsheet. Yearly takes the data from the Monthly spreadsheet and creates scores for the year to date. If anybody wants to play around with my numbers or even take over updates, feel free.
