Random Rants and Ramblings: 2015 Great Backyard Bird Count

I have submitted 14 checklist to eBird today for the Great Backyard Bird Count. These checklist include 45 species and a total count of 2165 (including some birds that were on multiple checklists). I walked about 17.84 miles in 8 hours and 32 minutes. Due to backtracking, I have reduced the checklists to 13.5 miles.

Today's species:
Cackling Goose, Canada Goose, Eurasian Wigeon, American Wigeon, Mallard, Green-winged Teal, Lesser Scaup, Surf Scoter, Bufflehead, Common Goldeneye, Hooded Merganser, Common Merganser, Red-breasted Merganser, Pied-billed Grebe, Horned Grebe, Red-necked Grebe, Brandt's Cormorant, Double-crested Cormorant, Pelagic Cormorant, Great Blue Heron, Bald Eagle, American Coot, Killdeer, Pigeon Guillemot, Mew Gull, Glaucous-winged Gull, Rock Pigeon, Band-tailed Pigeon, Mourning Dove, Great Horned Owl, Anna's Hummingbird, Belted Kingfisher, Northern Flicker, Crow (Species not identified), Chestnut-backed Chickadee, Bushtit, Brown Creeper, Golden-crowned Kinglet, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, American Robin, European Starling, Song Sparrow, Golden-crowned Sparrow, Dark-eyed Junco, Red-winged Blackbird, Western Meadowlark
