September 2013 Weather Summary

What a weird month. We saw days with both record heat and record rainfall. We even set a record for wettest September ever with 3.1" of 6.17" falling in the last three days. To be honest, some of the rainfall was actually heavier than I like. We even had a tornado here in Pierce County (numbers for the weather index are for SeaTac in King County). Since I'm probably going to forget, there was a waterspout off the coast yesterday (October 2). Our two tornado per year average was met in a three-day period. With how variable the weather was this month, I wasn't sure exactly where it would rank.
