October 2012 Weather Summary

October got off to a rotten start (as far as Octobers go). Through the first ten days, we were recording our 5th worst October ever. Even when we started seeing better forecasts, I thought that how we started would keep us below average. After all, how long could our stretch of nice weather last? Once the evil fireball of death decided to leave us alone, we hit a stretch of unrelenting pleasant weather. We manged to move up to the 24th best out of 65 years worth of October data. That was a serious comeback.

By the way, I found an error in my spreadsheet that was keeping 1948 out of my tables for months over the years. Since I do not have a full year's worth of data, 1948 will still be left off of the year-to-date tables.
