Day 4 - Skagway and the Yukon

We visited the Yukon and did some pseudo-dogsledding. On our way out there we took a bus. On our way back, we rode the train. I took some notes on stops that we made. These notes were primarily to help identify pictures later. I'm not going to bore you by listing all of our photo ops, but I just can't help mentioning that I have now seen three different Bridal Veil Falls. The dogsledding may have involved a wheeled sled in hot (from the perspective of the dogs) weather, but it was a lot of fun. They even threw in an unexpected twist. Instead of asking us to spend money for pictures of us on the sled, they asked us for our email addresses so that they could email us the pictures. Among our sightings for the day were Black Bears (two separate sightings), Mountain Goats, Magpies, Mallards, Gulls, Ravens, Swallows, and Robins. Of course, the Mountain Goats on the hill weren't entirely real, so they probably don't count.

After returning to our ship, we went to see the Second City comedy show. They relied on sketches and really only had one improv sketch. While their sketches drew a few laughs, I honestly believe that this group is relying a little too much on legacy rather than what they currently have.
