Chambers Creek Owls

How did I miss it? I walked by there so many times, but overlooked the nest.

Last Sunday, I found a Great Horned Owl in the canyon area of Chambers Creek Properties. I had some suspicions about this location and returned yesterday, today, and tomorrow.


Yesterday, I found the owl in the same location as before. Today, I found a second owl on the snag.

As you can see, we have an Owlet near Chambers Creek. These owls had to have been there for… who knows how long? I pass by there frequently, but I’m apparently too oblivious to see an owl’s nest surprisingly close to the trail.
