This was another driving day for us. Needless to say, we didn’t see a whole lot. When we reached Yellowstone, we watched an elk crossing the road in front of us. We actually reached Yellowstone ahead of schedule. We found a nearby trail and walked a portion of it. In addition to the elk, we saw robins, ground squirrels, chipmunks, ravens, and scaup within the park. We have had some problems with the evil, evil fireball in the sky. The heat has been getting to both of us despite a forecast high of 64°. A forecast posted at the entrance to the campground claims that snow is a possibility. If that happens, it will likely convert to rain then steam long before it hits the ground. We have also had some wind today. So far, it hasn't been nearly as strong as yesterday. Hopefully, this wind will be no match for our tent.
Edit: After going through my pictures, I can say that we also saw Green-winged Teals and a Red-tailed Hawk by this campground. After I wrote this, I also saw red squirrels in the campground.
