Periodically, I need to just vent. I have decided to put together several posts for that very reason. I'm not just pushing myself to open up, but I'm actually willing to go beyond what I really think on a number of issues. This is one of these posts. Expect this to turn out as an incomprehensible irrational rant.
Donald Trump is a Democrat. Yes, he tried to pander to a conservative base, but he doesn't even know what Republicans really stand for. In many cases, he got it wrong. Partisan conformity kicked in, and numerous Republicans changed their personal views to better match Trump's mistakes. These same people then started ridiculing those who did not change their views because of Trump's mistakes.
Trump duped the Republicans. Prior to running, he actually insisted that he would prefer to run as a Republican because he thought they were easy to fool. It's absolutely embarrassing to see how stupid Republicans have become.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of people out there who struggle with the obvious. My issues with the stupidity of Republicans does not mean that I view Democrats as intelligent. In all honesty, what I have read from Democrats has me convinced that they are even dumber.
When I hear Democrats or "independent" voters who prefer the Democrats speak, all I ever hear is the mindless parroting of Democrat talking points. I have struggled to find any examples of Democrats who are capable of contributing thoughts of their own.
Are violent thugs referring to themselves as anti-fascists the same as soldiers during World War II? If you oppose fascists who claim to be anti-fascists, does that automatically make you pro-fascism? The questions can be answered with common sense. Most Democrats I have encountered think that it's clever to repeat defiance of common sense. They even think that there is no way to counter their easily debunked viewpoints.
In the case of fascism, this has become a lot like racism. Democrats aggressively accuse any viewpoint that deviates from their own as fascism and white supremacy. For pretty much all their supporters, this is sufficient to dictate their personal views. Nobody wants to be thought of as a fascist or white supremacist regardless of the validity of those claims. They have even embraced the idea that it is authoritarian to oppose government mandates. Similarly, they are convinced that it's racist to want to allow children to learn away from schools that had to be forced to allow black students and are still being used as evidence of systemic racism.
Republicans these days are complete imbeciles. The Democrats are even worse. We are absolutely surrounded by stupidity. We are living in what has to be the most mindless era in the history of humanity.
