I really should share diverse viewpoints

I have long insisted that we should all strive to evolve as individuals. For various reasons, I have not been following my own advice. This includes problems that I have with the response to change. As one of my many self-evaluations, I have decided to look into what kinds of changes I really should make in my life. Unfortunately, obstacles will likely be too much for me to overcome.

Teachers love to brag about exposing children to diverse viewpoints. By some bizarre coincidence, it seems like every example of the diverse viewpoints they share matches the views of the Democrats.

Let's face reality for a moment. Teachers do not believe in subjecting students to diverse viewpoints. This is merely an excuse for pushing an agenda. That said, there is value in subjecting people to legitimately diverse viewpoints. Perhaps I could outdo the teaching profession and do what they dishonestly claim to do themselves.

We have become polarized. Part of the problem is that people find themselves in echo chambers that reinforce existing notions. Some of these notions aren't even factual. They are opinion. If we want to live in a tolerant society, we need to be able to deal with people who have different viewpoints from our own.

When it comes to my online presence, I tend to focus on sharing content that reflects my personal beliefs. This isn't going away since I'm not always good at explaining things myself. I should periodically throw in thoughts that I personally oppose. This would ensure that people who find my online presence won't end up in an echo chamber.

By sharing alternative viewpoints, I could also use this to one-up the teaching profession. I would not only say that I believe in subjecting people to diverse viewpoints. I would also be living up to that belief.

There are other potential benefits to sharing alternative perspectives. I personally find it to be ridiculous when people criticize opposing viewpoints and ultimately prove that they don't even know what their opposition believes. It's better to understand your opposition than to expect them to change their minds solely because you said so.

I already actively read opposing viewpoints. Admittedly, there are still things that I can't understand, such as how teachers molding the minds of children is supposed to be treated as a good thing. When it comes to sharing those viewpoints, I'm not taking any action at this time. I have considered reinventing my online presence. It seems like that would be a better time to expand sharing.
