Susceptibility to terrorism

Nobody wants to be the victim of a terrorist attack. Wouldn't it be great if we could eliminate the risk? No. We need a threat.

It is impossible to completely prevent terrorism. There are always things that can be done to reduce the risk, but there are limits to how far we should go. If we go to far, our rights are diminished.

As I have said numerous times over the years, the modern world is far scarier mentally than physically. Because attempts to minimize our susceptibility to terrorism tend to take away our rights, doing so would be more likely to cause problems than an actual act of terror. This is why I insist that we should embrace the risk of terrorism. Without that risk, we have to give away too much.
