Playground by the Sound

University Place is trying to build a playground at Chambers Creek Properties. In December, they won $30,000 in grants from the Pepsi Refresh Project. Unfortunately, they are still short in funds to complete the playground. This month, they are returning to the Pepsi Refresh Project in hopes of winning a couple more grants. They are joining three other causes from University Place. Pierce County libraries are looking for funding to help a new library. There’s a volunteer center looking to keep going during this recession. There is also a proposal to provide recreation scholarships. In the month of January, please vote for these projects daily.
