If only I had my camera… and rain protection. I had one of my best looks at a Peregrine Falcon today. It was sitting on the dock at Chambers Creek Properties and was facing me. It was a good angle and a reasonable distance. If I had my camera with me, it would probably be my best Peregrine Falcon picture to date.
While I’m talking about bird sightings, I visited Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge on Thursday. A Great Egret that my sister and I had been seeing was still there. I have read that Egrets wander North after breeding, and I was suspecting that this was why it was at the refuge. With this most recent sighting, I am convinced that it actually came to the refuge to winter.
