I'm not a writer, and I hate repeating myself. Unfortunately, Trump has convinced me that I need to go back to what I have already said about him.

Republic or democracy

Is the United States a republic, democracy, or both? I have seen a lot of this online. Democrats refer to our country as a democracy. Republicans counter by insisting that we are a republic. Democrats then call people stupid for not realizing that a republic is a form of democracy.

Trump’s rhetoric

A while back, an official White House account posted something along the lines of, "Long live the king." They included an image of Donald Trump with a crown. Although I have plenty of issues with our current government, that doesn't mean that I want a king.

Sports - I know I can make a difference

I read yet another article about the rise in childhood obesity. I have been talking about this problem for years. During this time, I have come up with some ideas that could help. When it comes to diet, I don't have much to contribute. When it comes to physical activity, I have already been sharing ideas.

Cricket

Prior to this year, I had never seen a cricket match. When I found out that the Seattle Orcas were being covered by a local channel, I decided to give the sport a chance. I watched every game that I could because I had no idea what the sport was like.

Social network echo chambers

As I keep saying, I hate social networking, but I see a ton of potential. We are still a long way from that potential, and in some ways, we are getting worse.

Diversity within political parties

I hate the term RINO. Republicans use this term for members of their party who don't mindlessly accept how the party dictates their votes. This is why I have been somewhat defensive of people such as Mitt Romney and Liz Cheney.
