Although I have my limitations, I believe in the core concepts of equality. Unfortunately, equality has become a corrupted concept. I have already explained this. There is a difference between being equal and being identical. As an individualist, I reject the idea that we are all the same.
There is actually a simple mathematical manner in which I can explain this. 2+2=2+2. This is how most people view equality. While I agree that 2+2=2+2, I also acknowledge that 2+2=1+3. Simply put, I view people as being at the same level, not as being the same people.
There are a lot of nuances to how people are equal. Imagine the following two math problems: ax+by+cz and dx+ey+fz. How do these totals compare? There is no way of knowing. Part of the problem is that people will not be consistent in how much they value each component of who someone is. There can also be inconsistencies in how impressed people are in each individual's value. Even if you become convinced that one person is better than another, is that grounds to insist that everyone else must come to the same conclusion?
Obviously, I'm simplifying things here. There are more than two or three components to who people are and how great we can view them. In fact, I view this as infinite. There is also a lot of subjectivity. I don't believe that we have no rights to think that some people are better than others. My issue is when we insist that some people should be treated better than others because of our personal opinions.
