My Idea Outlet: Educational Rights>Public Option>General Policies

A new page, Public Option>General Policies, has been added to my Educational Rights notebook for My Idea Outlet. The contents can be found below.

If we wanted to develop a public option for an open learning environment, there is one thing that should be obvious. Educational considerations should be taken into account by the public sector. Ideally, this would be a widespread push to ensure that education is taken into consideration with most policy proposals. This can be as simple as having someone look at all proposals and ask, "Would this policy impact education if implemented? If so, how?"

There are numerous ways in which the government can impact education, both good and bad. Some government-funded agencies can be more impactful than others, such as schools, libraries, parks and recreation, and public transportation. All agencies should consider the educational consequences of their actions. In the future, I intend to explain more about agency-specific guidelines. I will likely skip the schools since they have no place in an educationally tolerant society.
