My Idea Outlet: Sports>Leagues and Events>Recreation

A new page, Leagues and Events>Recreation, has been added to my Sports notebook for My Idea Outlet. The contents can be found below.

In case you somehow missed it, this project emphasizes the recreational value of sports. When it comes to how sports leagues and events are structured, starting with recreational sports seems logical.

In this section, I intend to look at various ideas that could be utilized in organized sports. Some will be specific to recreational sports leagues and events, but others can be carried over to other types of leagues and events.

With the recreational prioritization of this broad brainstorming project, ideas outside of recreation will likely tie into this section of leagues and events. For example, youth and developmental leagues could help people learn a sport before embracing a recreational league. Those sports could be structured to move people to a recreational league after a certain period of time. Elite leagues could use recreational leagues to help find athletes to join teams.

What does all of this mean? Recreational will receive most of my focus for league and event structure. Other forms of sports will focus primarily on how they relate to recreational leagues and events as well as any consideration for that form.
