Liberal intolerance

John Hickenlooper grabbed attention for darling to suggest that Democrats don't label themselves as socialists. The crowd booed him. Some people have even suggested that he should end his presidential campaign for saying something so horrible.

Hickenlooper has not been far off of what the Democrats want. He didn't even criticize socialism. He was only targeting the word. He insisted that change needed to be more gradual, or the Democrats would risk losing the next election. He even included hate, the go-to practice of the Democratic party, in his message.

The problem was that Hickenlooper didn't conform to the strict narrative coming from the increasingly extremist Democratic party. He dared to include his own views. By failing to let his party dictate everything that he believes, even though he is very close, his party turned against him. There is one word that describes the behavior from the Democrats, intolerant.

More recently, there was another Democratic candidate who was bashed for deviating from the party line. John Delaney, who believes in a form of universal health care, dared to say that Medicare for all is not the right approach. Again, the Democrats booed a Democrat. Also, more calls were made for a member of their party to end a campaign solely on the basis that someone's thoughts fell short of 100% conformity.

Not too long ago, Joe Biden dared to say that he supported the Hyde amendment. Now this one legitimately deviated from the bulk of the Democratic party. Even so, it was one issue. The Democrats brought out their pitchforks. Again, the party showed intolerance.

In all three of these cases, it has become clear that the core of the Democratic party has become intolerant of those who have any differences in opinions. Keep in mind that these same people believe in campaigning on hate of the opposition. This should help people understand why some of us view the Democrats as the party of hate and intolerance.
