Now that I finished my series on human rights, which I admit did not turn out as well as I would have liked, I am ready to start a new series. I actually have an idea for a series that seems to be a good transition from discussing human rights. This new series will reflect my beliefs and opinions regarding freedom of speech.
Part of the reason that I want to discuss freedom of speech is because I have seen a lot of inconsistency in how people interpret freedom of speech. I have seen both political parties contradict themselves on this issue, although the Democrats seem to swing more wildly based on how speech aligns with their personal beliefs.
A lot of people are already voicing their opinions on freedom of speech. If you know me, you know that I don't like wasting my time writing what others have already written. The good news in this regard is that I have a different perspective on freedom of speech. I acknowledge that freedom of speech does not necessarily refer to constitutionally protected freedom of speech. I will try to keep my posts focused more on freedom of speech from an ethical rather than legal perspective.
